Dennis is a native of Southwest Ohio and a graduate of Carson-Newman College and Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He served in local church ministry from 1980 until 1997 when he began serving through the association, first as the Church and Community Missionary, and since 2006 in his present position. Dennis and his wife Micki love Cincinnati, having lived and worked here since 1984. Their family includes a son, daughter-in-law, and grandson who live in Texas, and a daughter who lives in California. Dennis has a strong sense of calling to Cincinnati and to assist pastors and churches in glorifying God in the area. He also is an avid bicyclist.

Oliver Hawkins

Ministry Evangelism Strategist Missionary

ph: (513) 761-1151 || ph: (513) 478-3020

Oliver is a native of Kentucky and a graduate of Cumberland, received his masters at Eastern Kentucky University and currently working on his Masters of Divinity at Southern Seminary in Louisville Kentucky. Oliver and Valerie have three children, Kaitlyn 14, Kyle 12, and Kelsey 10. He taught high school and middle school social studies at Anderson County Middle School in Lawrenceburg Kentucky, Oneida Baptist in Kentucky and Clermont Northeastern Middle School in Ohio. Oliver and Valerie served with the International Mission board in East Asia for two years. In August of 2006 he joined the staff of the Baptist Association of Greater Cincinnati as Ministry of Evangelism Missionary.

As a church and community missionary I am praying about ways that I can assist the churches of the Baptist Association of Greater Cincinnati with the ministry work they are performing and develop new ministry opportunities for the churches to participate in. Some of the ways I hope to help the churches are by assisting them in ministries such as sports camps, Vacation Bible Schools, outreach block parties and developing new ministries to reach out to their communities.

Ken Dillard

Collegiate Ministries Director

ph: (513) 742-9886 / (513) 281-6403 || mob: (513) 295-6785

Ken and Mary Kay moved their family to Cincinnati in January 1992. They have three children, Sarah, Nathan, and Kelley. Although Texas was their home state, Ohio has become home to the Dillard’s. God has truly blessed as the family has grown and friendships have deepened. Ohio is a great place to follow the Father in ministry.

The vision statement for Collegiate Ministry in Cincinnati is “Reaching the world for Christ, Developing one relationship at a time.” Worldwide evangelism begins on the doorstep of our colleges and universities. Collegians, by nature, are very relational. We live in a new millennium that is accompanied with an increased awareness of spiritual matters. One-on-one discipleship, small group Bible study, innovative worship, and hands-on mission experiences are the tools of Collegiate Ministry. Whether on campus or in church, together we will reach college students in Jesus’ name.

Bob Allen

Hispanic Church Planting Missionary

ph: (513) 923-3557 || mob: (859) 653-1983

Bob is originally from Arizona and a graduate of Southeastern. Bob has been working in our association as Hispanic Church Planter and commissioned as a missionary with the North American Mission Board. Bob and his wife, Kari, have three children.

Our concept is to have a ministry to the Spanish speaking immigrant population in Cincinnati to include transportation, food, clothing, translation service, referrals, advocacy, temporary lodging and drug and alcohol counseling. This would provide a place where the love of Christ could be demonstrated in a practical way and the gospel can be presented.
